Arnaldo

Arnaldo

Arnaldo was born in Argentina in the ’80s, lived most of his life in England and currently Resides in Berlin. It’s an intoxicating blend of life experiences which feeds into his work as a DJ and producer; music with a certain warmth, personality and charm suggests a genuine character at the controls.

Arnaldo has been buying and playing records since the turn of the millennium, amassing an enviable collection of house and techno in addition to heaps of jungle, dub, psychedelia, latin, blues, jazz and weird disco. Instrumental to this were the six years he spent behind the counter at Manchester’s famed Eastern Bloc record store, peddling hot slabs of wax to some of the best in the business.

It was during these formative years that Arnaldo first cut his teeth as a disc jockey: Spinning for Eastern Bloc’s own 70-Capacity Function Room parties above the Seven Oaks Pub, and as a resident DJ for meandyou, where he warmed up for the likes of Lawrence, Move D, Small People and Kyle Hall, amongst many others.

Expect swinging US garage next to Afro Acid bombs; Detroit techno gems alongside deeper minimal cuts and soulful vocal-led house-all programmed and mixed with the flair, tenacity and precision of a true professional.
Arnaldo’s own productions fuse together these assorted inspirations into his own unique and beguiling brand of house music. On labels like Smallville, Aim, Blank Slate, Greta Cottage Workshop and UntilMyHeartStops, he makes Carefully Considered and evocative tracks for the mind, feet, heart and soul; They’re tailored for the dancefloor but with depth of emotion that marks them out to be so much more than merely functional club tools.
